First and foremost, thank you for keeping up with the blog regardless of the fact that i have been neglecting my readers... summer is here, so is the vacation period and i am enjoying it to full capacity. La vie suce!!! ;-) i've been asked to share my famous sangria recipe! it is a great drink... especially for those who don't enjoy the taste of alcohol per se. fruit drinks can be tricky though. they taste like juice but can blind-side you and knock you out without warning. so please, do warn your guests of the "punch" in their cocktail! ingredients: 1 bottle white wine 1 1/2 cup 7up / Sprite or Ginger Ale 1 1/2 cup pineapple juice 1/3 cup dark rum 1/3 cup brandy bite-size fruit (apple, lemon, peach, orange, pink grapefruit, green grapes...) *make sure all ingredients have been chilled before mixing. | preparation: pour all ingredient into a large glass pitcher. add some ice and serve. for best results, you can let make the sangria ahead of time and chill in the refrigerator 12 hours before serving. you can also switch the pineapple juice with your favourite juice! cheers!
